“Pieces”
112 pages of Brilliant Color
Memories for a lifetime
In Schofield’s eight year, we are putting the pieces back together. Five hundred plus new students per year, new teachers, and a new administration, the Schofield puzzle is now complete. Each person has his or her own special shape and purpose. It takes many pieces to complete a puzzle and Schofield is much the same.
The Schofield Puzzle
Hanna S.

Out of the dozens of poems submitted for the yearbook cover, Hannah’s poem brought to life the true meaning of middle school.

Several puzzles lie before me,
A memory in each one.
Today, the sky is stormy-
This is my only fun.
Moving carefully through the pieces,
I choose the ones that match.
But in the box’s creases
Are some I did not catch.
They should not belong together-
They show a face, or name,
And so I wonder whether
This is a different game.
The mismatched pieces start to move-
And this I swear is true-
They click together, groove to groove,
And I see all of you.
The students fit just like they should,
Ignoring race and name,
They connect in one large siblinghood-
The Schofield Puzzle Game.

This year’s cover was designed and constructed by Schofield students. This group of students worked for two weeks during their summer vacation to complete the cover puzzle. Hour after hour, finding piece after piece, this group worked until all they could think about was puzzles. Their hard work and dedication is a testament to how great this year’s yearbook will be.
